Does the ÚPV SR publish trademark applications before registration?

Yes, this is a mandatory step before registration. All applications are published for a period of 3 months, during which previously registered trademark owners have the right to oppose your registration (if there are confusing similarities between your marks).

Published applications are also searchable in the office's public register. Publication is what allows owners of earlier marks to become aware of a potentially conflicting application in time to act, which matters because the ÚPV SR does not assess earlier-rights conflicts on its own initiative.
