If your application doesn't face any hurdles, registration with the ÚPVSR typically takes 5 months. Otherwise, it may take up to 12 months or more from the date of filing.

The current timeline mostly consists of the publication period. Your trademark application will be published for opposition for 3 months, during which previously registered marks will be able to oppose its registration if there are confusing similarities.

Applicants who want to move faster can use the office's Fast Track service, which aims to publish a qualifying application within about 30 working days of filing, provided the fee is paid promptly and the goods and services use accepted terminology.
