You can monitor pending trademarks in two ways:

  1. Monitor a trademark registry yourself. Your IPO's database is public and free to use by anyone, so you can search for pending applications that could infringe on your trademark. However, you will have to do this periodically, and there are limitations to searching for marks that are similar but not identical to yours.
  2. Use a trademark monitoring service. When you sign up for this type of service, you will receive reports with identical and similar marks based on selected criteria (considering visual similarity for logos, overlap in goods and services, etc.).
