If a trademark has multiple owners, how are the rights and responsibilities shared?

By default and if otherwise specified, the rights and responsibilities are shared equally within joint trademark ownership.

Regarding the IP office's role concerning shared rights, the applicant's only responsibility is to provide valid details on the application. The applicant is legally responsible for keeping the details of a trademark application/registration up to date and notifying the IP office in case of any changes that occur during the period in which the trademark is live.
