How long does a Slovak trademark last?

A Slovak trademark is valid for 10 years from the filing date of the application. It can be renewed indefinitely in 10-year increments by paying the renewal fee, so a mark can remain protected for as long as the owner keeps renewing it and using it in commerce.

There is no separate mid-term maintenance filing in Slovakia; unlike the US, no declaration of use is required between renewals. The mark does, however, become vulnerable to cancellation if it is not put to genuine use within five years.
