How do I renew a Slovak trademark?

A Slovak trademark is renewed by filing a renewal request with the ÚPV SR and paying the renewal fee before its current validity expires. Trademarks are typically valid for a period of 10 years, and there’s no re-examination at renewal. It’s a purely administrative process.

The ÚPV SR renewal fee for an individual trademark covering up to three classes is €150. The request can be filed in advance of the expiry date, and a grace period is available after expiry (with a surcharge) if the deadline is missed.

Keep in mind, that you cannot expand goods and services when renewing your trademark (you can only narrow them down). So, if your brand started offering different/additional goods and services, a new application will be necessary. Trama handles Slovak trademark renewals; get a renewal reminder before your deadline.
