How can I protect my company name or trademark worldwide so that no one else can use it?

Complete worldwide trademark protection isn’t possible through a single registration. Trademarks are jurisdiction-specific and class-specific, meaning your brand is only protected in the countries and categories where you file.

Even with the Madrid Protocol, you must still select the jurisdictions where you want protection.

We recommend submitting your logo or brand name for a free lawyer’s check and starting with countries where you’re currently active or plan to expand. If you’re unsure which jurisdictions to choose, book a free 15-minute consultation with one of our trademark experts.
