If you've received a Notice of Opposition but failed to submit a timely answer, what happens next will depend on the jurisdiction.

In some countries, you might still be able to save your trademark application if you file a motion asking for the submission of a late answer. In the motion, you have to include the reason for missing the deadline. The corresponding examining body will then determine whether it will accept this reason.

Failing to respond to the notice altogether may result in losing your trademark. The same goes for countries that don't allow any late submissions.
