As a brand we have several variations of our logo, how do we protect them all?

In case your brand uses several variations of your logo and you wish to fully protect them all, you need to file multiple trademark applications, one for each version. Please keep in mind that you'll also have to pay for each of them separately.

In case the difference is only in colour, and all other elements of the logos are the same, you have multiple options depending on the jurisdiction in which you file.

In the US, you can file your logo in black-and-white. This way, you will gain protection for any colour variation of your logo, and you wouldn't need to register multiple trademarks.

In the UK, you can file a series trademark and include multiple marks in one application. The fee is lower than submitting multiple separate applications.
