The timeline has two parts: Trama's preparation time and the IP office's processing time.
Trama typically delivers a first draft of the trademark application within one week of the initial assessment. Finalization and filing, depending on the client's responsiveness, usually takes a further few days.
Once your application is filed, the timeline to full registration depends entirely on the IP office and jurisdiction. The EU takes approximately 4 months, UK approximately 4 to 5 months, US approximately 12 to 14 months, Australia approximately 6 to 7 months, and Canada approximately 20 to 25 months.
These are timelines for unchallenged applications, since office actions or oppositions can extend the timeline considerably.
