Can I use the ® symbol before my trademark is registered?

No, the ® symbol can only be used once your trademark has been fully registered with the relevant intellectual property office. It signifies that your trademark is officially registered and legally protected.

While your application is still pending, you may use the ™ symbol to indicate that you are claiming rights to the mark. This lets others know that your trademark is in the process of being registered.
