If you still haven’t paid the filing fee for your trademark application, the EUIPO will treat the application as if it had not been filed; it is not formally refused but is deemed not to exist.

There isn’t a grace period for late payment of the initial filing fee, so if the deadline is missed, a new application must be submitted.

If you couldn’t execute the payment due to technical or administrative reasons, contact the EUIPO promptly with evidence of the attempted payment, which may allow the issue to be resolved without losing the filing date.
