When should I register my trademark?
Timing is everything, and this is especially true when it comes to trademark registration. Choosing to trademark your brand at the right time is much more important than you would think.
Unless requested otherwise, your trademark application will be filed in black and white so that it covers all possible color variations.
This means that even if your logo appears in specific colors on your products, labels, or tags, the black-and-white version in your application will still protect those colored versions. You’re free to use any colors in practice, regardless of how the mark was filed.
