A service mark, denoted with a symbol ℠, is a type of unregisterd trademark explicitly used in connection with services as opposed to physical products. It's used less frequently than the more general ™ symbol, and you can find it more commonly in the US.

Similar to the ™ symbol, there are no legal guidelines restricting the usage of a service mark. Usually, the symbol is used by entrepreneurs who wish to signal they are currently in the process of registering the trademark, which is an official longer taking process after which the ™/℠ symbol can be exchanged for the registered trademark symbol ®.

You can find more information about these three symbols in this article.
