Yes, a trademark can and should be renewed as it generally expires after ten years. There is no limitation to the number of times you can renew your trademark, so you can potentially extend it indefinitely by ten-year periods.

You can start with renewal 6-12 months before expiration, depending on the jurisdiction. This would be recommended since renewal takes some time to go through. However, it is generally possible to request renewal even after the trademark has expired, during a 6-month window called "the grace period".
