Can I change the class of my trademark to something more appropriate?

If the application has not yet been filed, the class can be changed before submission. Once an application is filed, the classes cannot be changed; they can only be narrowed (goods or services removed from a class) but not amended or replaced.

If the application is filed, and you’ve submitted it in the wrong class, the practical solution is to file a new application covering the correct class. The original application can continue in parallel or be abandoned.
