A mobile app is typically covered by Class 9 (downloadable software). A SaaS website is typically covered by Class 42 (software as a service and IT services). For most businesses with both, these two classes together provide the core trademark protection for the technology offering.

Depending on what your app or platform actually does, you may need additional classes for extra functionalities. If it’s an entertainment app, Class 41 may be relevant. If it provides financial services, then Class 36 is relevant. If it facilitates e-commerce by third parties, Class 35. The right class selection reflects what the product does for users, not just the technical form it takes.
