Do I need a specimen of use for each trademark class?

Yes, you must submit a specimen for every class you wish to include in your trademark application. For example, if you choose class 25 for Clothing, and 41 for Educational services, you must submit at least two specimens. This is true for "use in commerce" (1a) as well as "intent-to-use" (1b) applications.

The only difference is when filing with "use in commerce", you'll provide the specimen with the application. When filing with an "intent to use", you can submit the specimen at a later date - however, at an additional cost of $100 per class.
