Can I make changes in the application once it is dismissed?

Once your application’s refusal is final, the application is closed, and no further amendments or material changes can be made to it. Any changes to the mark or its scope require a new application.

Before a final refusal is issued, the IP office issues an office action that explains its grounds for an objection. You can then respond to the office action, and certain amendments are still permitted. Things like narrowing the goods and services list, correcting formalities, or submitting evidence. The types of changes allowed vary by jurisdiction, but in almost all cases, altering the mark itself after filing is not permitted.
