What is the procedure for changing the owner of a trademark through TramaTM? Is it possible to change ownership from a company to an individual?

The process of changing trademark ownership is straightforward. Trama prepares a signed assignment agreement identifying the current owner (the company) as the assignor and the new owner (the individual) as the assignee, specifying the trademark by registration number. This is then submitted to the IP office, where the trademark is registered along with the required recording fee.

Some IP offices require supporting evidence confirming the identity of both parties and the legitimacy of the transfer. The register is updated once the office processes the submission, at which point the individual becomes the official owner of record.
