There are two types of trademark owners: a physical person or a legal entity. Your LLC (legal entity) can become an owner of the trademark even if you wish to register outside the US.

For the US registration, you can submit the application yourself since you have a US-based company. However, for international submissions, you will have to hire an attorney or a law firm that can represent you in the trademark proceedings. In such cases, your LLC can still become the owner of your foreign trademark.

The same rule applies to the "physical person" type of trademark owner. If you wish to apply for a US trademark as a physical person and are a US citizen, you are free to do us yourself. If you are from outside the US, you need legal representation.
