Should I wait with trademark monitoring until my trademark is registered?

You ideally shouldn’t wait for full registration before monitoring. Monitoring from the filing date is the stronger approach because your rights run retroactively from that date, and you can oppose similar applications filed after yours during the pending period.

If you wait until registration, any problematic applications filed and published during the pending period may pass through their opposition window without any issues, leaving you with fewer options once you do have full registration. Starting earlier avoids that gap.
