Do capital letters matter when trademarking a word?

If we are talking about a wordmark/standard character mark, then no, the choice of letter case doesn't impact your chance of registration. For example, if someone were to own a trademark for "lemonade" in class 25, you wouldn't be able to obtain a trademark for "LEMONADE", "LeMoNaDe", etc., in the same class and jurisdiction.

However, when filing your application, it is generally advised to put your mark into the application as you plan on using it.
