Is there any benefit with registering both word and logo trademarks?

Yes. Registering both covers different types of infringement that a single registration would not.

A wordmark covers the name in any visual form, including uses that look nothing like your branding. A figurative mark covers the visual design as shown, including uses that adopt the look of your brand without using the name. Together, they leave no gap between the two; a competitor cannot copy one without infringing and then rely on the absence of the other registration as a defense.
