CEO & Legal Mind

The intellectual property office will provide the applicant or the applicant's legal representative with an official letter, primarily via email or the IPO's platform. You can request that all incoming correspondence be sent physically via post, but this usually comes at an additional cost. Once an office action is issued, the email containing the information regarding its issuance, together with the necessary information regarding the office action itself, should be sent out immediately.

Each office action will come with a date by which you must respond. If the office action remains unresponded, the IP office will consider your application abandoned, and you will not be able to continue in the registration process. In case you receive an office action, we always recommend consulting with your legal representative on further steps, which can also include an estimate of the chances of success and the price of resolving the issue.
