Would adding the plural, "s" to the end of the brand name, make any difference in terms of trademarkability?

No. Adding a plural "s" to a brand name is not considered sufficient to distinguish it from the singular form. IP offices treat "Lion" and "Lions" as confusingly similar; a singular registration effectively covers the plural and vice versa.

If a conflicting trademark exists for a singular form of the same name in the same class, adding a plural will not resolve the conflict.
