Is having a trademark in more classes better?

In areas where the brand genuinely operates, yes. Each registered class provides enforceable rights in that category of goods or services, allowing the owner to oppose similar applications and take action against infringers in that space.

In areas where the brand has no commercial presence, no. Additional classes with no genuine use add cost and vulnerability without adding meaningful protection. The appropriate number of classes is the one that accurately covers the brand's actual and near-term commercial activity.
