Can invoices act as proper specimens of use?

Invoices can serve as specimens for services but not for goods. For services, the invoice must clearly display the mark and describe the specific services rendered in enough detail for the examiner to confirm the mark is being used in connection with the applied-for services. A vague billing description that does not identify the nature of the services is likely to be refused.

For goods, invoices are never acceptable as specimens regardless of what they contain.
