Can I slightly change the trademark when renewing it?

It is not possible to make any changes to an already existing trademark, even in the process of renewal. You will only be allowed to drop some of the listed goods and services. This step is needed, for example, in the US, where if you have stopped producing some of the products and cannot prove the specimen to the USPTO, you'll be required to limit your selection.

If you wish to make slight changes to your trademark, e.g. updating your logo, you can file a new application. In case of minor changes, the two trademarks will share the same filing and expiration date. If the two trademarks are filed in the same classes, you'll only pay one renewal fee at the next time of renewal.
