Generally, it is advisable to tie the trademark's ownership to an entity using it in commerce. Tieing the ownership to an individual poses practical limitations when enforcing rights or transferring ownership.

However, it's worth noting that there are circumstances where personal ownership might be preferred. For example, if you want to protect a future business venture and your company is not yet established, it's generally recommended to file the trademark application as soon as possible and transfer the trademark ownership from yourself to your new company later.
