The government fee for filing a notice of opposition varies by jurisdiction. Some examples:

  • US (USPTO): $600 per class
  • EU (EUIPO): €320
  • UK (UKIPO): £200
  • Australia (IP Australia): AUD 250 per class
  • Canada (CIPO): CAD 789

Legal representation fees are added on top of these government fees. The total cost of an opposition depends on the jurisdiction, the complexity of the case, and whether the matter is resolved by settlement or proceeds to a full hearing.
