A serial number, issued by the intellectual property office (IPO) once the trademark application is accepted by the respective office, is sufficient to gain access to Amazon Brand Registry. While the length of this process is outside of your/our control, it is our experience that a serial number is assigned to a trademark application within the first few weeks after filing. One important thing to keep in mind is however the fact that should the trademark application be rejected (either for failing to meet the distinctiveness criterion or for failing to respond to any potential oppositions that may arise), the access to Amazon Brand Registry may be revoked.

Full details about the role of trademark registration in gaining access to Amazon Brand Registry can be found in our article.
