If I change the product description, will that impact on the registrability of my trademark?

It depends on whether the change affects the goods and services covered by the application.

If the description change simply clarifies or narrows the existing goods and services without expanding them, it is unlikely to affect registrability. If the change would effectively broaden the scope of the application or move it into a different class, it cannot be made after filing; a new application covering the updated description would be required.

Before making any changes to a pending application, confirm what amendments are permitted under the rules of the specific IP office where it was filed.
