Generally, trademark registration is valid for ten years. After that, you can renew your registration for a follow-up fee to avoid losing the protection. The price depends on the country where you hold your trademark registration, as every IP office has its pricing.

There is one exception in the US. Between the 5th and the 6th year from the date of registration, you have to provide proof that your trademark is used in commerce, called a Declaration of Use. This statement is submitted together with the specimen/evidence of your trademark usage in the US market. It can be a picture of your product, a screenshot of your website, an invoice, etc.
